Facial Reflexology

Facial reflexology is a powerful healing treatment, introduced into the UK in 2003. It aims to identify the root cause of health imbalances and stimulate the body’s own self-healing abilities. Facial reflexology combines acupuncture, reflexology and neurology and stimulates organs through nerve endings via the central nervous system and because it works in such close proximity to the brain and central nervous system it is so effective.

This unique treatment is profoundly relaxing as it promotes the release of endorphins and serotonin which calm the mind and aim to balance the Central Nervous System. During a treatment neuro-vascular points, reflex zones and neurological points are stimulated on the face using only the finger-tips which stimulate impulses through the central nervous system and meridians to the physical body and the major organs.

What happens at a treatment?

A full medical case history will be taken at your first appointment to establish any past medical conditions together with any current symptoms. An analysis of your lifestyle including diet and exercise will also be taken into account. An explanation of the treatment including the seven steps of the basic treatment will be given.

The treatment lasts between 45 and 50 minutes and covers the entire surface of the face except the eyelids. Rose hip seed oil from the South American Andes is used for moisturising and collagen production and rose otto essential oil for its uplifting scent, anti-depressant qualities and capillary toning.

Facial reflexology is a gentle and effective treatment used to treat specific conditions or help maintain good health. It’s particularly helpful in alleviating symptoms for acute and chronic conditions such as Multiple Schlerosis, Parkinson’s Disease and Motor Neurone Disease, facial paralysis, after effects of strokes, depression, anxiety, migraines and many other conditions. The treatment is suitable for all ages and is virtually non-contra indicated.

  • A skin cleanse followed by gentle lymphatic stimulation
  • A mineral mud mask and meridian massage
  • A peeling mask with a precise re-balancing massage
  • A facial wave bath with a short resting time to relax
  • Muscle stimulation massage to improve muscle tone and reduce wrinkles
  • Stimulation of neurological points with stimulation of acupuncture points
  • Gentle brushing of the meridians
  • Final soothing face massage
